She joined group for spectroscopy of atomic inner shells at the Department of low and medium energy physics as student, later she performed there experimental work for her diploma and master degree under the auspices of tutor
Prof. Alojz Kodre. In 1994 she joined Laboratory for radioactivity measurements, one year later she started to implement the quality management system for applied work at the ISMIS in accordance with SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Her work covers radioactivity measurements of environmental samples, quality management of these measurements and dose assessments. In parallel with improvement of knowledge of quality management systems she gained additional knowledge in the field of ionising radiation metrology. In 2008 she became contact person at Metrology Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (MIRS) for national standard holder in the field ionising radiation. As well she is contact person for Slovenia in the technical committee for ionising radiation EURAMET TC-IR at the European metrology organisation EURAMET since 2012. Within this technical committee she took over the role of contact person for capacity building. She is active in the field of radionuclide metrology as well and is delegate of JSI in the International Committee for Radionuclide Metrology (ICRM) and recently she became member of executive board as secretary. In the field of quality management she cooperates with Slovenian Accreditation as lead assessor for testing and calibration laboratories and in later period with SiQ as lecturer in the field of quality management systems for laboratories. As well she cooperates IAEA as expert in the field of nuclear measurement techniques and quality management. She is active in the field of radiation protection and is member of radiological mobile laboratory ELME.
