Publication in journal of Nuclear Materials
An important issue in the development of thermonuclear fusion reactors is the lifetime of the reactor wall. The article on measurements, relevant for future reactor design, has been published in cooperation with external colleagues.
Publication in MDPI Materials
Using a combination of correlative microscopy and analytical techniques, we have studied the hip implant rejection and related chronic inflammation issues. The functional and structural information obtained at molecular and subcellular level contributes to a better understanding of the macroscopic inflammatory processes observed in the tissue level.
Results of Intercomparisons Published
Successful participation in international intercomparisons and proficiency tests is key evidence for the technical competence of laboratories. In our ISMIS infrastructure group we are taking this into account since long time ago. The first intercomparison measurements with high-resolution gamma spectrometry were performed in the Laboratory for Radioactivity Measurements as far back as 1986. Since we trust in our abilities and work, the results of intercomparisons and proficiency tests have now been published on our website.
