    Presentation of the SQORPION Project at the National EDF Info Day

    The Slovenian Business & Research Association from Brussels (SBRA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence (MORS), organized a national EDF Info Day, where the current European Defence Fund call was presented in detail. As a successful example of an ongoing project, the Jožef Stefan Institute and its role in the SQORPION project were presented.

    Invitation to Visit the New Accelerator as Part of the Jožef Stefan Institute Open Days

    On Saturday, March 28, 2026, the general public is warmly invited to visit the new ion accelerator. The accelerator is the central part of the Microanalytical Centre, located within the Reactor Centre Podgorica complex at Brinje 40, Dol pri Ljubljani.

    Official Opening of the New Accelerator

    Since October 2025, a major upgrade has been underway at Department F2 - the installation of a state-of-the-art tandem ion accelerator with an accelerating voltage of 3 MV. The ceremonial opening will take place on March 24, 2026.
