Gathering of Colleagues from our Department F2

At the Jamarski dom inn in Dob near Domžale, the traditional December meeting of our department was held last Tuesday. The new head of the department, Dr. Matjaž Kavčič, opened the event with a summary of the developments in 2025, a year that brought a number of significant scientific achievements. A major change occurred in 2025 at the very top as well, as Dr. Primož Pelicon stepped down from the position of department head after many long and successful years, he continues his work as the head of the Microanalytical Centre. Under his leadership, an exceptionally large and important project to upgrade the central ion accelerator is currently underway, which will continue to ensure top-level conditions for scientific and applied research in the future.
