New Trans National Access (TNA) to our Beam within ReMade@ARI Project

02.07.2025

The researchers are studying how different barley lines distribute and store manganese (Mn) in their leaves when grown under both optimal and low Mn conditions using hydroponics. They are comparing Mn distribution at the subcellular level between lines with high and low Mn efficiency to identify key differences in accumulation and storage. The goal is to understand how Mn-efficient plants maintain higher Mn levels and preserve essential functions like photosynthesis under Mn-deficient conditions. The measurements within Remade@ARI project on our accelerator are under way this week by Dr Chiara Campoli from The James Hutton Institute.
