New Article in the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry

Our colleagues Mirjana Sepahyar Lorentzen, Boštjan Jenčič*, Primož Vavpetič and Primož Pelicon recently published an article in a recognized scientific journal entitled "The Static Limit in MeV Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry". The article measures the cross sections of interactions of heavy primary ions of different energies with biological molecules, which exhibit some unexpected and interesting results. The work also shows the dependence of the intensities of fragments and preserved heavy molecules on the dose of primary ions. Such results make it possible to follow the fragmentation pathways of organic molecules.
