The PFMC-20 International Conference is under way!

With a tour of the tandem accelerator at the Microanalytical Centre (MIC), PFMC-20, the international conference on plasma materials and components for fusion applications began today. It will take place from May 19th to 23rd in Ljubljana, and the organization is led by our colleague Doc. Dr Sabina Markelj. The conference will be an opportunity to exchange the latest achievements and open questions in research on materials for fusion applications, which are of key importance for the realization of real fusion power plants in the future.

An Article in the Prestigious Nature Journal

Researchers from our department, together with colleagues working at the European research center for ions and antiprotons, FAIR, have published a groundbreaking article in the prestigious journal Nature.

New Article in the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry

Our colleagues recently published an article in a recognized scientific journal entitled "The Static Limit in MeV Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry". The article measures the cross sections of interactions of heavy primary ions of different energies with biological molecules, which exhibit some unexpected and interesting results.
