The Annual Meeting of the FAIR Administration and Finance Committee (AFC) was a Great Success

At the beginning of October (October 7-9), we hosted, together with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, a meeting of the FAIR Administration and Finance Committee in Ljubljana. The Center for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe (FAIR) is one of the largest basic research projects in the world. The meeting was also attended by high-ranking representatives of our and foreign ministries, the director of the JSI and the administrative and technical directors of GSI/FAIR Darmstadt.

Formation and Decay of Correlated Quantum States in the Regime of Frequent Collisions Between Atoms

Between October 9th and 17th, the colleagues from our department took part in an interesting experiment at the Gasphase beamline of the Elettra synchrotron, together with colleagues from the Paris Sorbonne University.

Two Interesting Review Articles Recently Published in MDPI Journals

Our colleague Dr Jelena Vesić recently published two compelling review articles. The first, "Tracking Detectors in Low-Energy Nuclear Physics: An Overview", in Quantum Beam Science journal and the second, "Electron Screening in Laboratory Nuclear Reactions" in Particles journal.
