Article in the NIM - Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics

Two colleagues of our department published an article in the colorful international community of scientists on the optimization of the system for the extraction of thermalized exotic nuclei, which are produced in the accelerator at the GSI Heavy Ion Research Center in Helmholtz. The currently installed setup serves as a prototype of the final "Future FRS Ion Catcher" system, which will enable new dimensions of exotic atom research.
