News from the RADIATE Project: A Successful Experiment as a Part of the Transnational Access to the Tandem Accelerator

11.08.2022

Last week, French scientists from the University of Clermont Auvergne, in close cooperation with colleagues from the F2 department (Dr. Primož Pelicon, Mitja Kelemen), researched the mechanisms of absorption of strontium from implants into bone tissues and the related healing efficiency, mouse tissue was used. Due to the low concentrations of strontium in the substance, the use of the IBA (Ion Beam Analysis) technique, in this case on our tandem accelerator, is ideal for such research. The experiment was a complete success. The RADIATE project promotes the transnational cooperation of scientists through the TNA (Transnational Access) mechanism.
