Testing Advanced Detectors at the Cologne Accelerator

A team of colleagues from our department (Gregor Košir, Klemen Žagar, Matevž Skobe, Dr Matjaž Vencelj) that participates in the development of detectors for the FAIR project, is currently testing the detector setup at the 10MeV tandem accelerator at the University of Cologne. The DSSSD-based detectors, developed and manufactured by us, are part of the detector set for the HISPEC-10 experiment. Simultaneously with our detector, MCP (Micro Channel Plate) detectors, which are part of the same detector set for HISPEC-10 and were developed at the University of Cologne, are being tested.
