An article about nuclear physics at IJS, written by our colleague, Dr Jelena Vesić, was published in an influential journal. The description of the Jožef Stefan Institute and of our department F2 is followed by a summary of the research, carried out in the department, especially the participation in the FAIR project. New X-ray Spectrometer on the External Proton Beam
Analytical capabilities of the upgraded beamline with the external proton beam were further expanded with the installation of a new X-ray spectrometer. Basic design of the spectrometer, main operation characteristics, together with the results of the first measurements are presented in a recent paper, published in the Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry.
