Publication of an Article in the Journal Spectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy

A group of researchers from our department, together with colleagues from Croatia and Canada, investigated the influence of multiple ionization satellites on the X-ray spectra of some chemical elements (P, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, Cr). The improvement of the results, taking into account these corrections, has already been confirmed in the analysis of measurements of rock composition carried out by the Rover on Mars. The satellite database created during the measurements will improve the quality of research results with accelerated ion beams.
