New Beamline Almost Ready

Assembling a new, fifth beamline on a tandem accelerator is nearing completion. The main feature of the so-called nanobeam will be improved lateral resolution. The new line will enable a significant quality leap, especially in the measurements of biological tissues at the subcellular level. Most of the line (measuring chamber, vacuum pump, magnetic lenses) is already assembled. In June, we expect a vacuum test, fine-tuning of parameters as well as the first test beam at the measuring chamber.
