Universe in the Laboratory

On November 25^th, 2021, an article by our colleagues, Dr Jelena Vesić and Assoc. Prof. Dr Matjaž Vencelj was published in Delo. The article describes FAIR, the European Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research. FAIR is a unique project on a global scale and pushes the boundaries of science. Slovenian knowledge plays an important role in the project - in addition to JSI colleagues, the Slovenian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and a consortium of companies Tehnodrom actively participate as well.

Open Day on Accelerator

On Saturday 23.3. an open day was organized at the Microanalytical Center (MIC) at the Podgorica Reactor Centre. The number of visitors exceeded all expectations.

Brakethrough Article in Nuclear Materials and Energy Journal

Study of the location of deuterium in displacement-damaged tungsten by nuclear reaction analysis in channeling configuration was published last week in the prestigious Nuclear Materials and Energy Journal.

Publication in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Journal

The article discusses the design and characterization of innovative bismuth germanate (BGO) scintillation detectors, used to filter out the Compton continuum from the spectra, acquired by high-purity germanium (HPGe) detectors.
