Trans National Access (TNA) to our Beam within ReMade@ARI Project

Optimized agronomic practices, such as selenium (Se) and silicon (Si) fertilization, can enhance mineral nutrition, yield, and stress tolerance in olive cultivation. Micro-particle-induced X-ray emission (micro-PIXE) is used to map the distribution of Se and Si in olive leaf cross-section to uncover their allocation and subsequently assess the depth of their penetration at the tissue level. The measurement is led by Marija Polić Pasković from Institute of Agriculture and Tourism, Poreč, Croatia.

ReMade@ARI is providing scientists exploring the properties and structures of recyclable materials with a wide range of tailored services including easy, supported and coordinated access to more than 50 European analytical research infrastructures, user support and much more.
